John left New York to go to Idaho to see his son Eugene. Sarah did not want to leave her family and refused to go along. John lived in Idaho and Sarah lived in South Dayton,NY....................

John T Peters is stricken suddenly.................aged 85, died this morning at the home of his son E.J. Peters, 1010 Sherman Ave. He has been a resident of Kootenai County for twenty-nine years.

Surviving him are two sons and a daughter E.J Peters of this county, John C .Peters of North Rose NY (North Rochester??????) and Mrs Louis Desmann of Honoyoe Falls NY.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 from the Cassedy funeral home with the Rev. R.J. Hunter officiating, and the Oddfellows in charge.
Interment will be at the Forest Cemetery

John married Sarah Gould, daughter of Alden D Gould and Arvilla Barstow, in 1897 in Cherry Creek, Chautaqua, NY. (Sarah Gould was born on 13 Feb 1868 in , Chautauqua, NY, died in 1944 in South Dayton, , NY and was buried in Villenova Cem So Dayton NY.)

John next married Clara Lucinda Emery, daughter of Thomas Emery and Marilla Safford, in 1880 in Cherry Creek, Chautaqua, NY. (Clara Lucinda Emery was born in 1858 in Cherry Creek, Chautaqua, NY, died on 25 Feb 1895 in Cherry Creek, Chautaqua, NY and was buried in Cherry Creek, Chautaqua, NY.) The cause of her death was Pneumonia.
